Edward Gargiulo is a founding partner of Gargiulo/Rudnick. His practice focuses on complex civil and criminal litigation in both state and federal courts. Mr. Gargiulo has tried hundreds of cases in state and federal courts in the Northeast and elsewhere in the United States. His professional accomplishments include co-trying a plaintiff’s case that resulted in the highest personal injury jury verdict ever awarded in Barnstable County, Massachusetts.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Gargiulo served as an Assistant District Attorney for MiddlesexCounty, where he was a senior trial attorney and personally prosecuted many highly publicized criminal trials. In 1982, he was a candidate for District Attorney of Middlesex County, the most populous county in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. From 1983 through 1984, he served as Counsel to the Speaker of the Massachusetts House of Representatives; he provided legal advice to the Speaker regarding pending legislation and interacted with constituents, businesses, lobbyists, state representatives, and committee chairpersons regarding a wide range of legislative issues on a daily basis. Throughout his career, Mr. Gargiulo has remained active in the political process on local, state, and national levels.

Mr. Gargiulo has received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating for legal ability. Notable trial results include a multitude of acquittals in criminal cases, substantial plaintiffs’ personal injury verdicts, and numerous favorable defense verdicts.
