Ms. Rowell focuses her practice on general civil litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of business litigation and insurance defense litigation. She has extensive experience handling a variety of complex civil litigation matters, including those relating to general liability, personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, liquor liability, premises liability, commercial disputes and construction defect.
Ms. Rowell represents a range of clients, including individuals, small businesses, large corporations, and insurance carriers. She has successfully tried civil cases in courts of the Commonwealth, involving motor vehicle tort and premises liability claims. She has effectively represented clients through dispositive motion practice, in which she has obtained summary judgment in actions involving motor vehicle negligence, premises liability and social host liability. Ms. Rowell also has substantial experience in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
Before joining Gargiulo/Rudnick in 2009, Ms. Rowell practiced in California at the firm of Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP, from 2006 to 2008. There, she handled a variety of litigation matters in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury, general liability defense, wrongful death, complex construction defect, environmental law, employment law and business law.
While in law school, Ms. Rowell earned a CALI award for highest academic performance in a legal research and writing class, and was a national semi-finalist in the Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition based on demonstrated oral advocacy and written briefing skills. Ms. Rowell is a co-author of E-Z Review for Legal Writing, a comprehensive guide to legal writing and legal method published in 2003.
