Marianna R. Sarkisyan is an associate who concentrates her practice in general civil litigation. She joined Gargiulo/Rudnick in 2010. Ms. Sarkisyan is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Florida.

Ms. Sarkisyan received her B.A. in English and American Literature and Philosophy from Brandeis University in 2003. She received her J.D. from the Florida State University College of Law in 2008. There, Ms. Sarkisyan was a member of Business Review, and served as an editor for the Journal of Transnational Law & Policy as well as the Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law. She received the “Outstanding Article and Notes Editor” award for her work for the latter journal.

While in law school, Ms. Sarkisyan was employed as a law clerk at the office of the General Counsel of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) where she focused on administrative and construction law. Following her year-long clerkship at the FDOT, Ms. Sarkisyan joined the Tallahassee offices of Rose, Sundstrom and Bentley, a law firm specializing in land use, environmental and utilities law, where she worked as a law clerk handing a variety of transactional and litigation matters.

Prior to joining Gargiulo/Rudnick, Ms. Sarkisyan was employed as a Regulatory Officer at the Cape Cod Commission, where she managed the review of Developments of Regional Impact (DRIs) and participated in the agency’s diverse regional planning efforts. Her work at the Cape Cod Commission familiarized Ms. Sarkisyan with the Commonwealth’s latest renewable energy initiatives, including the Massachusetts Ocean Management Plan. Most recently, she participated in the designation of the nation’s first ocean-based District of Critical Planning Concern (DCPC) in the ocean waters off Barnstable County.
