Constance L. Rudnick began her legal career in 1977 as a
Law Clerk to the Justices of the Superior Court of Massachusetts where
she performed research and wrote memoranda and opinions for justice of
the trial court of general jurisdiction. While in private practice, she
concentrated in the areas of criminal and civil litigation and appellate
practice with emphasis on the preparation of cases for trial, as well as
briefing and arguing appeals in federal and state courts.
Since 1992, Ms. Rudnick has been a member of the full-time faculty at
the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover, and she currently holds the
position of Professor of Law. She teaches Constitutional Law, Legal
Ethics and Advanced Litigation. Ms. Rudnick has hosted a series of cable
television shows produced by the school highlighting recent and pending
Supreme Court cases and other legal issues in the news.
Ms. Rudnick served a four-year term as an attorney on the Board of Bar
Overseers of the Supreme Judicial Court to which she was appointed in
December 2001. The Board of Bar Overseers regulates the conduct of
lawyers in the Commonwealth, and imposes discipline on attorneys,
subject to oversight by the Supreme Judicial Court. Prior to her
appointment to the Board, she served as an attorney-member of the
Hearing Committee for the Board of Bar Overseers. She is currently a
member of the Supreme Judicial Court's Standing Advisory Committee on
the Rules of Professional Conduct, the Oversight Committee of Lawyers
Concerned for Lawyers and the Boston Bar Association.
Ms. Rudnick is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts, before the United States District Court for the District
of Massachusetts, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the First,
Third, Fourth, Sixth, Seventh and Eleventh Circuits.
